形態特徵

• Annual decumbent or ascending herbs, 15–80 cm tall; stems branched, angled, armed with recurved prickles; nodes enlarged.
• Leaves lanceolate, 2.5–8 cm long, 0.5–1.5 cm wide, apex acute to acuminate, base cuneate to hastate or sagittate, both surfaces glabrous, beneath veins prickly; petioles 0.5–1 cm long; ocreae tubular, 1–1.5 cm long, apex oblique, strigose at veins, upper margins ciliate.
• Inflorescences 2–4-flowered fascicles in spike-like panicles, terminal or axillary, interrupted, 2–5 cm long; peduncles glandular pubescent, 1–4 cm long; bracts oblique funnel-form, glabrous, upper margins ciliate. Flowers white to pink; pedicels slightly exserted; perianth segments 4, elliptic, 2–3 mm long, apex obtuse; stamens 5; styles 3-cleft, included; nectaries present.
• Achenes dark brown, trigonous, rugose, not shining, 2–3 mm long.

分布

• 台灣 : at low altitudes, in ditches and open swamps, or along streams.
• 世界 : N India, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal, China (S, SW, E & Xizang), Australia, the Philippines, Korea, Japan and the Ryukyus.
